The Archives of the City of Cava de' Tirreni has its origins in the 16th century and has been enriched over time with historically significant collections, including those of the former Eca and the hospital archives. With over 3,000 documents, including files, volumes, and scrolls, it tells the centuries-long history of the city, from 1504 to the 1950s. The Municipal Library Canon Aniello Avallone, on the other hand, preserves the cultural heritage of Cava de' Tirreni, combining the Avallone family's collection with that of the municipal library. Transferred in the 1980s to a new location, it has become a treasure trove of historical memory, where each document tells stories of life, faith, and culture.
