The State Library of the National Monument of the Abbey of Cava, located in the Abbey of SS. Trinità di Cava de' Tirreni (Salerno), is a public library under the direction of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities. It is one of eleven libraries associated with National Monuments and adheres to the regulations established by Presidential Decree No. 417 of July 5, 1995, adapting these guidelines into its internal rules.

"The Library houses an extraordinary collection, including codices, manuscripts, and 15,000 scrolls, as well as more than 25,000 loose documents. Its historical holdings include about 15,000 books, including incunabula and editions from the 15th to the 19th century. As of January 1, 2010, the library held 82,400 volumes, including 400 periodicals, of which 86 are active. Located inside the monastery, the Library is accessible through a single entrance, making it a place of great historical and cultural significance.
