Although the church no longer holds the same prominence as it once did in the fields, the complex of St. Joseph in the Pit remains a central reference point for the local community, serving as a beacon of spirituality in an urban context that has become increasingly fragmented.
The facade of the church is simple yet charming, inspired by the Romanesque style, and overlooks a modest courtyard, separated from the street. The bell tower on the left seems to silently watch over the church, which greets the faithful with its single nave and terminal apse. The walls, elegant in their simplicity, are divided into two levels: the lower floor features regular pilasters, while the upper level is adorned with large semicircular windows that flood the hall with light. The central, solemn entrance leads to an apse framed by a delicate arch.
In addition to the church, the complex includes the bell tower, the chapel, the rectory, and several pastoral spaces, creating a small oasis of faith and community in a corner of the city. Despite its growth, this area maintains a deep connection with tradition.
