The Church of Saints Peter and Mary, of Constantinople, and Thomas Ap. in St. Peter in Siepi

The monumental complex of San Pietro in Siepi is the heart of the village of San Pietro. Comprising the church, bell tower, sacristy, parish museum, and other historic buildings, it is one of the most fascinating and architecturally significant sites in the city. The church, with its Latin cross plan and three naves, harmoniously blends the late Baroque and Rococo styles with the more sober Renaissance elements of the original structure.

The interior captivates with its impressive scale and the elegance of its decor. The aisles, framed by pillars and arches, house a series of chapels, each richly adorned. The wooden ceiling of the nave and the dome over the apse stand out as some of the most beautiful features. Every corner tells a story of art and devotion, with masterpieces spanning different periods, along with monuments to notable figures.

The facade, simple yet impressive, opens onto the road with its central Rococo portal, welcoming visitors into this timeless place of beauty and spirituality.
