MUSEO EIDOS

The Eidos Museum is a project created by the Synapse Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing social support and psycho-education to children who are blind, visually impaired, or have disabilities. This multisensory museum combines art collections and botanical displays, stimulating not only sight but also the senses of smell and taste. The museum's main goal is to develop global sensitivity in individuals—sensitivity that can be compromised by life circumstances, but which the museum seeks to restore by addressing these challenges.

The museum uses art as a tool for understanding the world, prioritizing touch and other senses to facilitate a fully immersive sensory experience. The works on display are scale reproductions, accompanied by botanical objects that allow visitors to explore taste. The pieces are placed on supports with adjustable height and tilt, making them accessible to people of different sizes. Additionally, each piece is equipped with a QR code, providing access to related digital content via smartphone, including videos in Italian Sign Language (LIS), to ensure the experience is accessible to all.
