The route starts from the neighborhood of Arco, a central area of the city, located at the foot of the Monti Lattari, which provides access to the mountain trails. From Arco, the trail ascends through the forest and passes by some farmland. The path is well-marked and leads you toward one of the peaks of the Monti Lattari. The climb is gradual but constant, with a significant elevation gain as you approach the Shrine of Madonna della Quercia. Along the way, you can enjoy splendid views over the valley and the town of Cava de' Tirreni, with a panorama that extends to the Amalfi Coast on clear days. You may also encounter historical remains and the typical mountain features of the area, such as 'roofs'—small stone buildings.
